The Fellowship Program
Matteo

Matteo Signorini has worked as a mechanical engineer and project lead since 2006 in IDEO’s Munich office, where he speaks German with an Italian accent.

One of his favorite projects with IDEO was designing—and bringing to market—a new ATM for the Spanish bank BBVA.

Prior to joining IDEO, Matteo worked for five years as an engineer and innovation consultant within the Siemens Corporation. Along the way, he earned a master’s in industrial design engineering from the Royal College of Art in London, where he met Joerg Student, another IDEO.org fellow. Matteo’s design work has won awards and appeared in several exhibitions and publications.

In addition to his engineering know-how, Matteo brings his wife and two young sons to San Francisco. An avid sailor, he hopes to spend some of his down time on the Bay.
