Minnie Bredouw
Interaction Designer, IDEO

A senior interaction designer from IDEO San Francisco, Minnie Bredouw brings not only UX expertise to the team, but also an added passion for social innovation and education.
As the first IDEO fellow with an interaction design background, she looks forward to helping build out the system design and UX strategy within IDEO.org. With experience as both a researcher and designer, Minnie tries to merge the boundaries between the two as much as possible.
She is passionate about social innovation and education, having worked with organizations such as The Girl Effect, UNICEF, University of Phoenix, Ushahidi, TEDx, and Prototype Design Camps. A natural facilitator, she has run Design Thinking workshops all around the world, and has particular affinity for working in developing nations.
Prior to joining IDEO, Minnie worked at Frog Design, notably contributing to the Community Action Toolkit, which recently won an IDSA award for design strategy. Prior to that, she helped create interactive exhibits and campaigns. Her work has been nationally recognized on Fast Company, Worldchanging, Microsoft Design Exposition, and NPR.
Minnie received her BFA in Communication and Interaction Design from The University of Washington. When she’s not designing, Minnie is an avid trail runner and photographer. She especially loves doing both of these while on an adventure.
