Behrouz Hariri
Systems Designer

As a systems designer and mentor with tech and social enterprise incubators, Behrouz Hariri has a love for bringing concepts to life.
As a systems designer, Behrouz straddles the intersection between visual communication and strategy, which allows him to take things from a very abstract place to a tangible product or solution.
Behrouz comes to IDEO.org from user experience agency Jet Cooper in Toronto, where he has led a variety of mobile, web, and interactive projects across multiple sectors.
With a focus on spreading design thinking he has also mentored and collaborated with more than 30 startups on projects in the tech, culture, and social innovation space. One of those projects was setting up a social enterprise incubator with the Center for Social Innovation. He regularly organizes panels, screenings and exhibitions around design thinking and citizen engagement, including CreativeMornings lectures and HCD Connect meetups in Toronto.
More than anything, the Iranian-born designer believes in bringing communities together and facilitating strategic and insightful dialogue. This remains his secret weapon.
Behrouz holds a Bachelor of Design from York University / Sheridan College.
In his spare time he enjoys exploring the outdoors, experiments in the kitchen, and playing the Tar.
