Danny Alexander
Designer + Social Entrepreneur

Danny Alexander is a creative entrepreneur who thrives on mixing design with business and social good.
He is a partner in several start-ups, including Liga Masiva, an international direct-trade farmers market, and Who Gives a Crap, a philanthropic toilet-paper company that uses half its profits to build latrines in the developing world. He has also consulted on design and social innovation projects for clients such as IDEO and Plum Organics.
Danny is on the faculty of the New York School of Visual Arts’ new Design for Social Innovation program and on the board of advisers for Design Impact and Digital Democracy. Previously, he served as a trustee of the New York chapter of the Awesome Foundation, founded the Black and Blue Design collective in Argentina, and worked as a “shapeshifter” for Method.
Danny has lived in 13 apartments in the past five years. If you ask nicely, he’ll point out their locations on the world map tattooed on his arm.
