The American Refugee Committee (ARC), an international nonprofit, partnered with IDEO to increase awareness of the famine in Somalia. The result was the Drucker Award-winning I AM A STAR campaign, which sought to leverage the direct involvement of the Somali diaspora community around the world to improve the lives of 170,000 people on the ground in Somalia.

In partnership with the Wasserman Foundation, IDEO.org announced the launch of a new Innovation Fund as part of a committment at the 2012 Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). This year's CGI conference was themed "Catalyzing Impact Through Design," and we are enormously excited at the potential for impact of our new Innovation Fund.
