The newest iteration of the IDEO.org Clean Kumasi prototype is used to organize a sanitation week and community cleanup in Ghana.
IDEO.org launched a new iteration of the Clean Kumasi prototype in January 2013. This new prototype provides a set of digital tools that can be used by organizers to collect inputs from in-person meetings and enroll people who are interested in helping to improve sanitation in the community.
Using these new digital tools, community members in the Ayigya neighborhood organized a sanitation week and cleanup in April 2013. As part of the event, a youth street team went door-to-door to promote awareness for improved sanitation. There were also community led cleanup efforts.
IDEO.org is excited to see the new Clean Kumasi prototype being used by the community to attract awareness and action around issues of sanitation. Check out these great photos from the sanitation week event and check back soon for an update from Kumasi.
