Since February, thousands of people and organizations around the world have contributed to our inaugural Amplify challenge. From interviewing neighbors to brainstorming wearable technology to prototyping community services, it’s been an incredible ride that’s led us to a Shortlist of 15 ideas, each designed to promote safety for women and girls in their own unique way.

Now, it’s time to kick off implementation.

We’ve selected five of the shortlisted ideas to receive funding and design support. Over the next 12 to 18 months, IDEO.org will work with the individuals and organizations from the five Funded Ideas directly to support their efforts to launch, iterate on and refine their pilots.
